Celeb sites top Malware distributors

The
fastest way you can become infected with Malware is to visit a fake
celebrity site and not as many would believe to visit a porn site.
According to a recent report by virus experts McAfee (http://www.mcafee.com/us/local_content/white_papers/threat_center/wp_adware.pdf),
on trends in malware, pornography sites are now third on the list
behind celebrity and screensaver sites.
Malware, and Adware in particular, has become a significant computer
threat that generate significant revenues for criminal organisation.
One particular Botnet for instance, detailed in the McAfee report,
generated US$6800 per month for its creators. This botnet 'managed'
13,000 PC's owned by unsuspecting victims.
McAfee suggests that flaws in the online business model being employed
may be seeding the e-criminals of the future.
